God Has a Plan for Israel

God has a plan for His people Israel. The covenants that God made in the OT with His people—the Abrahamic Covenant, the Davidic Covenant, and the New Covenant—are eternal. During the seven-year Tribulation, the Lord will work to redeem His people. In that day, one third of the Jews will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation ((Zech. 13:8).

Zechariah 12:10b foretells that the Jewish people will have one last chance to receive Christ when they see Him coming back to slay the nations. This is how they will respond: “and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.”

They will recognize what they did to their Messiah, how they pierced Him at the crucifixion, and how they rejected Him and despised Him; and they will mourn for Him. They will receive Him. How marvelous!

The Rapture is an any-moment return of Christ. This means that the end of the Tribulation could be only seven years away. Could some of the Jews alive today be part of those who repent and believe on Christ? God is at work, and His will is being accomplished. God will save His people Israel.
