Christian Weddings

A truly Christian wedding is a joyous occasion. Two believers come together in matrimony for the purpose of glorifying Christ as a couple. In becoming one flesh, they become one spiritually, one physically, one intellectually, one emotionally, and one volitionally. They come together with the goal of serving Christ effectively and of propagating a godly line.

To see a young couple commit to the worship of God faithfully in a godly church, to raising their family to follow Jesus Christ, and to minister to others in a Biblical, sacrificial way thrills the soul.

However, these goals start long before the marriage day. When they are single, they choose to obey the Word of God, they choose to fellowship with Christ, and they choose to serve faithfully in the church.

As parents raising children toward this goal, let us implement the words of Solomon: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Pro. 22:6). By God’s grace, may we see more Christian weddings, even with our own children.
